spore
The light installation Spore is a product of the collaboration with Tobias Dupuch and Andrin Gorgi.
It was dedicated to the Zauberwald Exhibition Lenzerheide in 2017. The light festival took place in a beautiful snow-covered forest in the Swiss mountains. This special environment inspired us to create a shape which adapts and integrates the surrounding.

The fine fibers were only visible when they were glowing and various appearances were created.
The individual lines in space condensed into a three-dimensional sculpture. The countless fibers created a random combination of shapes. An attempt to reach the diversity of nature.

The visitors were able to use a pulley to change the shape of the sculpture. By pulling on the rope, the shape was stretching and growing.
The weather, the temperatures, the snow, the ice and visitors were a real challenge to the material, the hardware and the construction. The installation was working flawlessly for the during the two weeks.
The project was awarded with the Art- and Culture Promotion Prize of the Canton of Aargau and was further developed to ANN-A.
This is the first prototype which was created at the Zurich University of the Arts in the module Color, Light and Interaction.
